Celebrations of Life, Held with Intention
As an ordained Reverend and Celebration of Life officiant, I create meaningful ceremonies that honour the life lived, the love shared, and the people who carry that story forward. Each Celebration of Life is thoughtfully crafted to reflect the individual — their values, their memories, and the legacy they leave behind.
Whether intimate or gathered in community, these ceremonies offer a space to remember, honour, and celebrate in a way that feels personal, heartfelt, and true.
A ritual creates a shared moment — a way to pause, reflect, and express love when words feel heavy. It offers connection, grounding, and meaning, allowing grief and remembrance to be held gently, together. Rituals help mark this moment in time, giving space for reflection, honour, and shared presence in a way that feels comforting and intentional.
There is no expectation to include a ritual. If one feels right, we choose it together — thoughtfully and with care. I’ll guide you through simple options and help you select what feels meaningful, comforting, and true for your family and the person you are honouring.

A candle is lit in honour of the life being remembered, symbolizing light, love, and presence that continues beyond this moment. Guests may be invited to light smaller candles in remembrance or hold a quiet intention.
Meaning: Light remains, even after loss.

Guests are invited to hold a small stone and silently place a memory, prayer, or intention into it before placing it in a bowl or basket.
Meaning: Love is carried, even when words are hard.

Each guest brings or is given a flower to place near a photo, urn, or memorial table.
Meaning: A collective offering of love, gratitude, and farewell..

Guests are invited to write messages, prayers, or memories on cards that can be kept by the family.
Meaning: Words spoken and unspoken are honoured.

Guests form a circle around the family or memorial space.
Meaning: Community, protection, and shared support

Petals, paper hearts, or leaves are gently released outdoors.
Meaning: Letting go with love, not forgetting.

A passage, poem, prayer, or verse is read aloud — faith-based, spiritual, or literary.
Meaning:Wisdom, comfort, and reflection.

A guided moment where guests silently offer prayers, gratitude, or blessings.
Meaning: Presence over performance.

This ritual honours a life through its natural seasons — beginnings, growth, challenges, love, and legacy. Meaning may be reflected through numbers, significant dates, life stages, or signs that feel connected to the person being remembered and the journey they lived.
Meaning: A life is not defined by its ending, but by the path it traveled and the meaning it continues to hold.
